Unpaid online reservations release after about 10 minutes.
When a guest reaches the payment page, their pitch is held for about 10 minutes. If they don't complete payment, the booking expires and the pitch is released so other guests can book it. That's what an Expired status means: an online checkout that was abandoned.
Guests who genuinely want the pitch just book again. Expired bookings stay in your list for reference but don't block availability.
