You pay by card. When you confirm your booking we send you to a secure payment page run by Stripe, one of the world's largest payment providers. Once payment goes through you land back on your confirmation page with your booking reference.
A few campsites don't take card payment online and will arrange payment with you directly instead. See Why does my booking say reserved with no payment taken?.
